I enjoy walking and photographing local landscapes be it a glorious beech wood carpeted by bluebells, a misty morning by the Thames or gorgeous autumn colours. I enjoy getting off the beaten track and finding new viewpoints to photograph with a particular interest in wildflowers, including bluebells, snowdrops, wild garlic and poppies and enjoy finding the best local places to capture their beauty, through the seasons. I love atmospheric weather conditions, particularly mist, and try to convey in my images what I felt when I witnessed a beautiful scene or moment. I take inspiration from paintings, especially impressionism, and try to give my images a painterly appearance. To get the images I want often requires planning and patience and multiple trips to a location to capture it in the best light.

My interest in photography evolved into a business when I realised people liked my images enough to buy them as greetings cards. Then requests came for bigger pictures and now I am most interested in selling my images as large framed fine art prints. I have my own professional-level printer and for really large images I use an excellent print company in Didcot. I have a good relationship with a framing shop in Thame to achieve a professional finish.

I sell framed and mounted prints and cards through my website www.wendyreedphotography.co.uk and at local exhibitions and craft fairs. A small selection of my prints is available for sale at Reeds Art & Framing in Goring (RG8 9AY). I also sell my cards at Stoke Row Store (RG9 5QL) and The Blue Tin Farm Shop (OX10 6QU).
